The
Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is
a Statutory body established by the Government of India under the Agricultural
and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act passed by the Parliament
in December 1985, which came into effect from 13th February, 1986. APEDA
is the apex organization engaged in the work related to the development of
exports of agricultural and processed food products from India, which fall a
part of the Schedule under the APEDA Act, 1985.
