The game against Iran concluded in a 2–2 draw, marking Sarpreet’s debut on football’s biggest platform. 2. Record Rise in India’s Indigenous Defence Manufacturing

The Ministry of Defence has reported a historic peak in India’s indigenous defence production during the financial year 2025–26. The total output reached ₹1.78 lakh crore, reflecting a 15.6% increase from ₹1.54 lakh crore in 2024–25. This growth is part of a larger trend, showing a 110% surge since 2020–21 when production was ₹84,643 crore. Since 2013–14, the production has nearly quadrupled from ₹43,746 crore. This expansion also led to record defence exports worth ₹38,424 crore in 2025–26.
