इस बार बिहार में एक भयंकर बाढ़ आई. धन की हानि हुई. फसलें नष्ट हो गई और मवेशी बह गए. अनेक माकन गिर गए. बाढ़ पीड़ितों की सहायता के लिए अनेक संस्थाएं तत्पर हो गई. सर्वप्रथम बच्चों और स्त्रियों को सुरक्षित स्थान पर पहुंचाया गया. आज भी किसानों की सहायता के लिए कई काम हो रहे है. सरकार बीज बाँट रही है जिससे वे नुकसान की भारपाई कर सके. ऐसी आशा की जाती है कि वे पूरी मेहनत करेंगे और अधिक अन्न उपजायेंगे. बिहार में ऐसी बाढ़ नही आई थी.

A horrible flood hit Bihar this year. There took place a huge loss of property. Crops were destroyed and cattle swept away. Many houses caved in. Many organisations became active to render help to the flood victims. At first, children and women were brought to safe places. Still many things are going on to help the farmers. The Government is giving away seeds so that they may make up for the loss done. It is hoped that they will toil hard and yield more grains. Such flood as this has never afflicted Bihar.
